Amsterdam - For six months, locals Michaël Pattiruhu and Vicky Kwaaitaal have been working on the construction of a LEGO replica of the Amstel Hotel.
The two, working under the name VicMic, spend their spare time building LEGO artworks. Their collection consists of various LEGO mosaics, a life-size beagle and since last week; the Amstel Hotel. LEGO Amstel, consisting of approximately 60,000 blocks, is made on a scale of 1:50, is 79 cm high, 2.70 meters wide and weighs around 56 kilograms. The beautiful artwork represents the Amstel Hotel after its restoration and can now be admired in the lobby of the hotel. You are more than welcome to come and see the LEGO Amstel!
